Chief Science Officers (CSOs) are 6th to 12th grade student STEM ambassadors who are identified by their peers and demonstrate interest in STEM, innovation and advocacy.

Want to be a Chief Science Officer?
- A school leader must complete the Site Intent Form by August 4, 2025 to indicate your district’s interest in participating in the program (be prepared to identify and provide contact information for a teacher advisor on this form).
- Once the site intent form is complete, work with a teacher advisor to select or elect your 3-5 student Chief Science Officers for grades 6-8 and/or 9-12.
- Next, have each Chief Science Officer and their legal parent/guardian register using the CSO STUDENT Registration Form by September 4th, 2025.
